Progress...

I realized that practicing piano is very different when you have a kid.  You have to find a time that he will only "accompany" you, not doing any damages while you're playing piano.  So, the perfect time to play is pretty much... the weekend.

I think I should've put some more posts, despite the progress. :P

How am I doing in term of progress?  I'm in a pretty good shape for Mozart K332 for the first 2 movements.  They were too bad to begin with anyway.  While my fingers can barely move fast, I should focus more on the 3rd movement. :)

Chopin Op 18 is a nice piece.  Still working on it.  But I started to appreciate the different variation in this piece of music.

First set of pieces to play

I figured it doesn't help if I randomly select music pieces to play, so as the first round, I picked 3.

1.  Mozart K332 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn45vo56NcM)
What can I say about this one?  I like Mozart's composition in general.  I particularly picked this one because it's one of my Grade 8 exam piece.  For those who've prepared piano exam, you know how many times you had to practice before going into an exam.  But after all this, I still like this one.

Where I'm at?  I think for all 3 movements, it's generally ok.  There are few places that I made mistakes easily continue to have this problem.  I played the 1st movement the most, so I guess it's better among the 3 movements.

2. Chopin Op. 18 Grande Valse Brillante (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG-E4PVGQSI)
This one might be an easier start to get into the Chopin pieces.  It's pretty much the first Chopin waltz that I've played many many years ago. :)

3. Bach Prelude and Fugue XI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0X9KVlbMEc)

This one again is another exam pieces.  All I remember is page 90!!

Welcome to my blog

Haven't really played piano for so many years, I recently got a piano and would like to get back to the state where I used to be.  Therefore, this blog is here... to track my progress, and hopefully get some peer support. :)

Enjoy!
